Information Technology
The IT undergraduate degree programme is available completely in English. All the courses are available for Exchange students to choose. The Specialised Professional Studies include:
- Software Engineering: focuses on software engineering methods, industrial databases and modern programming languages and technologies
- Electronics and Embedded Systems: focuses on electronic circuits design, microprocessors and their programming, embedded systems and programming methods
- Telecommunications: focuses on computer networks
We also offer a possibility of completing a final project/thesis or an internship at the Technobothnia high-tech laboratory for the technology students of our partner universities. Because there are limited places available, the students are accepted for this option case by case. International Business
In the International Business degree programme (undergraduate level) all the courses are in English. The exchange students are recommended to focus on subjects from the 2nd and 3rd year level. The specialisation options are:
- International Marketing
- Foreign Trade
- International Operational Environment
- Optional Professional Module
Internship places are not being offered in this programme.

Tourism
The undergraduate degree programme in Tourism is in English and the exchange students can choose from the complete list of courses. 2nd and 3rd year courses are recommended. The specialisation options are:

Health Care and Social Services
During 2012-13 the Nursing Department will offer an International Study Module in Nursing. The the scope of the module is 20 ECTS divided between a theoretical course of 5 ECTS and a combined placement, classroom training and clinical project of 15 ECTS. The different parts of the module are also available separately.
During the spring semester of 2013 the Social Services Department intends to offer four courses in English (16 ECTS). The courses will cover issues in mental health and alcohol & drug abuse problems as well as international perspectives on welfare models and on civilian crisis management. The details will be confirmed early autumn 2012.
Additionally VAMK offers placements to nursing, public health nursing and social services students from our partner universities. The amount of placements is limited and depends on the situation in hospitals and other placement providers. Please note, that the application deadline for placements for the spring semester is Oct 15 and for the autumn semester March 15.
