Entrance Examinations
Entrance examinations are arranged between 2 April and 4 May 2012.
Details of dates and venues will be informed to the applicants in the invitation letter.
Entrance examinations at the premises of Vaasa University of Applied Sciences will be held as follows:
- Tourism: 26th April 2012 (Raastuvankatu 31, Vaasa)
Written assignment, mathematical-logical test and an interview

Exam in Mathematics, Physics/Chemistry and Logical Deduction

The applicant must read the material carefully before coming to the entrance exam.
The applicant cannot take this material to the actual entrance exam and the material is not available for the applicant during the actual entrance exam.
There will be one essay and 15 multiple choice questions based on this pre-reading material. Part of the entrance exam interview may also cover themes of the reading material.
Entrance examinations outside Finland
The invitation letters to the entrance examinations will be sent in the middle of March 2012 to all eligible applicants. All entrance examinations outside Finland will be held during 11-20 April 2012. Details of the venues and dates will be informed to the applicants in the invitation letter.
Vaasa University of Applied Sciences is part of FINNIPS -network. In 2012 entrance examinations will be arranged in countries below. Notice that Vaasa UAS does not participate in entrance examinations in every country. We also invite applicants to the entrance examinations from neighboring countries (inside brackets).
Check the entrance examination countries and neighboring countries carefully before applying. Applicant must attend to entance examination in the country where he/she has been invited to.
Universities of Applied Sciences have informed applicants on the Finnnips website in which countries their degree programmes will participate in entrance examinations in spring 2012.
Important Information Regarding Examination Countries 2012:
- Entrance examinations will not be arranged in Bangladesh in spring 2012.
- Degree programme in International Business will not participate in the entrance examinations in Germany, Kenya, Nepal, Romania or in UK.
- Degree programme in Tourism will not participate in exams in Kenya or in Nepal.
- Degree programme in Information Technology participates in entrance examinations in every FINNIPS examination country.
- Vaasa UAS does not arrange entrance examinations in Finnish Embassies outside FINNIPS exam countries.
