Arriving to Vaasa
We highly recommend the international students to arrive to Vaasa during weekdays (Mon – Fri). Please note, that VAMK does not have any dormitories or reception, so if you arrive to Vaasa after office hours (after 16:00 = 4 p.m.) you are on your own. This is unless you have contacted us in advance about late arrival; then we can try to arrange some kind of reception for you. If you arrive to Vaasa on Friday evening or during the weekend, you have to stay in a hostel or a hotel until Monday morning when VAMK opens its doors. So that is also one good reason, why you should have some money with you when you arrive in Vaasa.
