Technology and Communication
We are happy to invite you to the International Days event at VAMK - 14th to 18th March 2010!
We are continuing with our tradition of arranging International Days at our University. As Vaasa is the biggest energy cluster in Scandinavia with over 120 member enterprises, this time we are organising the event for the Technology and Engineering students with the main themes being:
Energy, Automation, Environment and Globalisation
There are several goals for this event:
- Give our students an international experience through the visiting lecturers.
- Give students an opportunity to learn more about important topics from international experts.
- Give the students an opportunity to learn about opportunities for studying abroad.
- To increase the possibilities for networking among colleagues and expand international cooperation and good practice.
We cordially invite lecturers and staff members from our partner universities to participate in the International Days event. Lecturers are invited to send proposals for about one hour lecture related to the theme of the conference. The lectures will be repeated a number of times to different groups. The students participating in the event will be mainly 2nd year students of the Technology and Communication Faculty and are majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology and Environmental Technology.
We also ask the visiting lecturer, our colleague to give a presentation on their countries and home university. The aim of this is to encourage our students to do an exchange period at your University.
During the five-day International Days we are proud to offer also an interesting social program.
We hope to see as many visiting lecturers and colleagues as possible and we are looking forward to welcoming you in Vaasa in March 2010.
