The student will get an understanding of Open Source Licenses and how they work in practice and how they affect business opportunities. The course will give an overview of various software licenses and explain the differences, relations and inheritances between different types.
Participation in lectures and discussions, assignments in writing, oral examination.

Any degree student at VAMK; Open VAMK; Employees in local companies; Anyone who wants to get either basic knowledge of Free Software Licenses or want to get a deeper understanding of how Open Source Licenses work.
