Learning Outcomes

The student estimates the factors which affect the health and wellbeing of an adult person. The student guides the client in health promotion and treatment and has a focus on the curret needs and the situation. The student knows the health promotion possibilities offered by information technology and health technology . The student is able to pay attention to the health needs of clients with different cultural backgrounds.

The factors influencing the health and wellbeing of the adult and the ageing person, the most common health problems in Finland and prevention, maintaining and promoting health and the ability to function, the most common diseases in Finland , prevention and treatment, Health technology as a help in work methods.

-to use a critical approach and to look for, use and evaluate reliable information with health promotion
- to evaluate and plan client´s healt promotion taking the client´s age and life situation into account
-to take individually into account the client´s cultural background in the clients´ health care

- to use reliable information with health promotion and explain his/her choices
-to implement health promoting taking the client´s age and life situation into accont
-to take into account the clients ´cultural background in the client´s health care

Grade 1
The student is able
-to look for and to use reliable information with health promotion
-to make decisions to promote the clients' health
-to identify the meaning of the cultural background for the clients´ health care
