Admission Requirements

International degree seeking applicants have to demonstrate an academic standing such as a Finnish matriculation exam, High school diploma or equivalent. These have to be translated into English, Finnish or Swedish, if foreign, and submitted to 1.choice Admissions Office by given deadline. Applicants for degree programmes in English must have good knowledge of English, the official language test IELTS or TOEFL test is compulsory to all applicants outside EU/EEA-region. Applicants are advised to check the current requirements from Prospective Degree Students. There is also an entrance exam. The right of study is given to everyone who has filled the criteria to be accepted to VAMK as a student, successfully completed the entrance examination and who has registered accordingly.

Exchange students from the partner universities are welcome to apply to VAMK for 1 – 2 semesters. Exchange students need to send an Application Form, CV, an Academic Transcript from the university or other educational institute where the student is presently enrolled, and a Learning agreement.
