Our feedback system supports only one language at the moment - but we are working on it with our software vendor.
An electronic student feedback system is taken into use at VAMK starting from autumn 2005 (the end of period 1). The system is used as follows:
1) The student enrols on the study unit through WinhaWille, as usual.
2) The student participates in contact teaching, as usual.
3) Once a week the system checks for the study units that have ended and in which the student has participated. The system sends ONE joint reminder message to the participants of the study units through e-mail. The message includes a link to the web site where the feedback can be given.
Here are the contents of the reminder message:

Kehittääksemme koulutuksen tasoa jatkuvasti yhä paremmaksi, haluamme pyytää
Sinulta palautetta nyt päättyneistä opintojaksoistasi:
- Luovat asiakastyön menetelmät (1.10.2005 - 26.10.2005)

Vaikka järjestelmä kysyy Sinulta käyttäjätunnusta ja salasanaa
(sama tunnus/salasana kuin muihinkin järjestelmiin, esim. e0501234),
palaute annetaan nimettömänä eikä sen antajaa kyetä tunnistamaan.
Käyttäjätunnistus jää pelkästään teknisen järjestelmän tietoon ja sillä
huolehditaan ainoastaan siitä, että sama käyttäjä ei voi vahingossa antaa
montaa palautetta samaan opintojaksoon.
Palaute menee tiedoksi kullekin opintojakson opettajalle ja yhteenveto
annetuista palautteista lisäksi kunkin opettajan esimiehille.
Voit antaa palautetta kolme viikkoa kunkin päättyneen opintojakson
jälkeen - kun palaute on annettu, se poistuu palautelistaltasi.
Jos et voi tai halua antaa palautetta yhdellä kertaa kaikista
opintojaksoistasi, voit palata myöhemmin jatkamaan palautteen
antamista samaan www-osoitteeseen.

In order to improve our teaching quality, we have introduced a new feedback
system, which is unfortunately in Finnish so far. You can use it anyway
and especially free-form fiels are available in any language to give
feedback to your teachers and lecturers. We hope that your English-speaking
finnish classmates can help you to use the system - English version is
under development with our software vendor.

The students’ answers are anonymous; the use of user name and password only ensures that the student gives feedback for each study unit only once. Giving feedback is voluntary for the student but we hope that you give honest and constructive feedback actively, because that will help us to develop our instruction.

You can give feedback during three weeks after the study unit has ended. The feedback goes to the teachers of the study units completely anonymously. In addition to the teachers, the superiors of the teachers have a right to see the summaries of the feedback.
If you do not wish to give feedback for all study units at one time, you can continue giving feedback later on within the three weeks. After the feedback has been given, the link to the study unit for which the feedback has already been given will disappear.

The teachers and their superiors can log onto the system with their own user names to see the feedbacks given:

In accordance with the user roles registered in Winha, each registered user will be shown the windows belonging to her/his user name. The staff logs onto the system with the same 3-character user names (e.g. tp, aim) which are used in other systems as well.
