cPouta is a cloud service provided by CSC for universities where students can run their own virtual machines (mainly Linux) and create virtual networks.

More detailed user guides:

First, a faculty member has to apply for an account to CSC using HAKA-login.

Once a CSC account is created, a "project" can be requested for the cPouta service.

Projects have limited amount of resources. By default a new project gets for example eight virtual machines and two public IP addresses. Additional resources may be requested if needed.

NOTE!

Users within the same project can see and administer the whole project environment.
