Operating Systems and Services

VAMK has several different computer systems: the telecommunications services are mainly handled with Linux-based systems and the workstations are mainly equipped with the Windows-operating system. Macintosh-workstations are also in use. Linux-services are available through both command line-based (via the ssh-terminal) and through graphic X-windows.

Browser Applications

Most of the services are browser based, so they can be used from practically any workstation. But notice that with some older browser versions there might be some restrictions.
