Helpdesk Assistance with Computer Problems

VAMK now provides an improved Helpdesk ICT support service for its students and personnel.


Effective Support on the Web

Assistance is primarily available through the Web in http://helpdesk.puv.fi.

Submitting a service request (trouble ticket) sends it to the entire Information Systems Staff for best possible response time. The Helpdesk will notify about progress with the request through e-mail.


Service on Both Campuses

The Helpdesk opening hours are on weekdays as follows:

  • Raastuvankatu 29-33, at 12.00-16.00, room RB111
  • Wolffintie 30, at 8.00-12.00, room WA128

The Helpdesk telephone service is open at 8.00-16.00, tel. 06 326 3377. The janitor answers the phone in the evenings and on weekends.


What Kind of Help from Helpdesk?

The Helpdesk assistance service includes:

  • Maintenance of work stations, servers and networks
  • Maintenance of educational facilities

Service does not include:

  • Instructions for using software applications
  • Maintenance of student or personnel home computers
