The UAS Path offers a unique, co-operatively carried out programme, where students wishing to study in Finland can first taste the Finnish study experience from their home country, online, and move to Finland to complete the degree after that.

Immediately after the war of aggression launched by Russia, the rectors' organisations of Finnish higher education institutions expressed their support for Ukraine. VAMK stands in the same line with other higher education institutions and the whole world, supporting country that has been forced under inhuman acts of violence by Russia.

The spring’s first national joint application period for higher education institutions ended on Wednesday 19 January at 3 p.m. VAMK's international degree programmes have attracted an exceptional amount of interest in the January student application, where the degrees leading to a Bachelor's degree in International Business and Information Technology and the degree leading to a Master's degree in International Business Management were applied for.

This week, on Thursday 6 May and Friday 7 May, a low-threshold corona testing point will be set up from 09:00 – 11:30 in the main car park of the University of Vaasa, Wolffintie 34, Palosaari. A test is free of charge and does not require an appointment. Even those who are asymptomatic can take the test.

The international audit team interviewed over hundred students, representatives of stakeholders and working life as well as VAMK’s staff over a video link. A lot has been learnt during the long process.

We will return to the practices that preceded the March closure. Simulation lessons, exams and other necessary teaching can be arranged from March 29th on campus.

All teaching, including simulations, laboratory work and exams are carried out online. Week 9 is a week of independent study. Administrative and support staff will also switch to telecommuting during the closure.
