Once again, we are happy to invite you to International Days event at VAMK 14th to 17th March 2010.
Encouraged by the positive experience, we are continuing the tradition of International Days and are organizing the event for the department of Social Services with the main theme being
“Working in the Field of Social Services in my Home Country”
There are several goals for this three-day event. First of all it is to give our students an international experience through the visiting lecturers and give the students the opportunity to learn about study abroad opportunities. Another, very important goal is to increase the possibilities for networking among colleagues and experts and expand international cooperation and good practice.
The event consists of presentations, round table discussions, and social program. We are also delighted to organize site visits according to visitors’ interests. We are also organizing a platform for visitors and local social workers for negotiations and networking.
We cordially invite lecturers and staff members from our partner universities to participate in the International Days event. Lecturers are invited to send proposals for a one hour lecture on Tuesday. The listeners on Tuesday are mainly 1st, 2nd and 3rd year Social Services students and social workers in Vaasa region. One of the aims is also to encourage students to do exchange period abroad. That is why we ask you additionally to prepare a country/school presentation (one hour) for Wednesday. The listeners of this part are Social Services students.
During the four-day International Days we are proud to offer also an interesting social program.
